Welcome to Corsham Primary School. Our names are Lindsay Fry and Kerry Parker, and we are the Headteachers at this wonderful school. We believe that Corsham Primary is a very special place where everyone works together to create a safe and happy school, where children can achieve success.   We believe that in order for a school to be successful, it must be happy. We nurture a strong sense of partnership between the school and families, which lies at the heart of the children’s happiness and success. Corsham Primary is a fun place to be, and there is always something happening to enhance our exciting and thought-provoking curriculum.  You can view our Virtual Tour here.

Corsham Primary School is proud to be part of Pickwick Academy Trust, having been one of the founding schools. For more information about the Trust, please click on this link: pickwickacademytrust.co.uk.

Unicef Rights Respecting School Award

We are delighted that we have achieved this award three times, the latest being June 2022, where we achieved the Gold Award.

We regularly celebrate successes with the children, whether achieved in school or beyond. We know this helps children develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, which in turn encourages them to continue to do their very best. We hold a wide range of events throughout the year when we invite parents into the school to help us celebrate the achievements of all the children, such as year group learning celebration assemblies.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of our whole school community, we are delighted to have received the Wellbeing Award for Schools in July 2024, which involved a year-long project with staff, pupils and parents, to support our current provision and develop it further.

The Award was developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB), and is intended to help schools prepare and equip themselves to promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole-school community. NCB’s vision is an education system where good emotional wellbeing and mental health are at the heart of the culture and ethos of all schools, so that pupils, with the support of their teachers, can build confidence and flourish.

The key to robust emotional wellbeing is being able to recognise, understand and label the emotions we feel, and develop strategies to help us express and regulate them appropriately.  The school uses an approach called RULER to support the children with this.  To find out more, Click here
