Visit from Patrick, Fair Trade
Fairtrade Corsham Patrick Kaberia Muthaura visited Corsham Primary as part of Fairtrade Fortnight 2024
Patrick was overwhelmed with his welcome to Corsham and especially enjoyed his Corsham school visits and meeting with staff and the children. He was very impressed with all the questions the children asked and their knowledge about Fairtrade as well as their enthusiastic response to the challenges we set. He loved looking at the tree planting you have done and the school gardens. He collected seeds from your plants to take home!!
"I think one of the highlights of Patrick's visit was when we were at Lacock Abbey on his rest and recreation day. We were in the tower of the abbey and a small voice said, ‘Look there’s the Fairtrade tea farmer who came to our assembly”. The small voice was from a pupil at Broadwood School who had been in Patrick’s assembly. His mother told us how her son had come home to tell the family all about Patrick’s visit and had asked his family to help him look for things with the Fairtrade mark on in their cupboards. It made our day!"
