Corsham Primary School has been very lucky to receive some funding from Swindon Council in order to purchase, plant and look after some trees in our school grounds.  On Friday 28 March, we had a planting day!  The whole school contributed to this fantastic day.  All classes were involved with the litter-picking and ground preparation, marking out the positions of the trees, digging holes, placing the trees and back-filling.  They also hammered in stakes and placed ties and spacers for supports.  Finally, mulch was placed around the base of each tree and a watering bag placed and filled.

It was a fun and active day for everyone!  We will be able to enjoy these special trees for years to come.
