Governor Awards

This term, the following children have received special awards from the governors - huge congratulations go to:

Spirit Award - Awarded to Ruth C. Ruth embodies everything our Spirit Award stands for.  Firstly, she is a true team player who takes pleasure in others' success as much as her own.  Ruth has a wonderfully positive impact on our class culture and approaches challenges with enthusiasm and a desire to improve.  Finally, Ruth is known across the school, by staff and other students, as a reliable role-model for our school.  She represents the qualities that every Corsham Primary young person should aspire to have.

Caring, Positive, Stimulating Award - Awarded to Henry V. The first ever recipient of our new Corsham Primary School award, Henry is the definition of a CPS role model.  He is a role model not only to his class but the rest of the school.  Henry is an exceptional learner who is extremely resilient and never gives up, even when he finds his learning challenging.  Henry is a friend to everyone and can always be relied upon.  He faces everything he does with a smile on his face and is always positive.  Henry really deserves this award in recognition of all his efforts in everything he does.  Well done Henry.

Sports Award - Awarded to Finley C. Finley has been awarded the Sports Award because he is an al-rounder sportsperson who can turn his talents to any type of sporting challenge.  Even more importantly, his conduct when participating in sports is fantastic.  He has a kind air about him and always plays fairly.  He always includes others and is able to compromise and accept defeat with good grace.  Finley is an excellent role model - a well deserved award.

Maths Award - Awarded to Sam C. Sam has demonstrated a fantastic, tenacious attitude towards his learning in Mathematics.  Not one for self-promotion, Sam has quietly and diligently improved his learning throughout Year 6.  He is focused on turning his areas for development into new strengths, and he does this with an unshakeably calm manner and excellent attention to detail.  Sam has shown that consistent effort in both the classroom and on home learning, will always yield results.  Very well done.

Literacy Award - Awarded to Adam R. Adam always demonstrates a clear passion and love for writing.  Whether it is an awesome adventure story, a fact-filled report, or even a poem about exciting adventures, Adam crafts wonderful sentences that deserve the reader's attention.  When reading his learning, I am often gripped to the page by his wide range of vocabulary, variety in sentence structure and also his experimental use of punctuation.  We are all extremely pleased with your progress Adam, and look forward to reading one of your brilliant books in the near future!
